Bloody hell, I cant blame him for splitting the realm. The last two Doges we had were absolutely pathetic. What a shame, ultimately I am proud of what we did achieve with Fronen, even though mosts of its players were either multis at one time or just a lazy collection of tax hoarders. Anyways, the nobles of Fronen were good and they worked hard for the republic, I talked of splitting the realm under my rule but was denied, im a bit sour but happy it finally happened. Who knows where I go from here.

Yeah I became Doge and then noped the heck out. Granted though most of Fronen was so half-assed at everything that it wasn't much fun trying to change things yourself and then getting yelled at when you go ahead and try to make the decision yourself. Happened with Nyx, Akrogath, and Bastain. This split is what we all needed to revive the spirit of our characters.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who checks back into the game when he has spare time.

(And then gets completely caught up in it again  ::))

Hope to see on the field one day, Indirik!

I have joined the ranks of Morek Empire.

...For a few days.  :P

I surprised this thread wasn't closed earlier. This was a recipe for disaster to let everyone bicker about a ruling than you're not supposed to discuss afterward.

I got a Titan judgement int he past few months and it clearly states to not take this discussion back to the forums. In fact you're not supposed to talk about it anywhere except in a direct email to Tom. Well, Tom doesn't really get involved anymore so that is just a waste of time.

So I understand coming to the forums for clarification. But this discussion is far beyond clarification. It's mutated into a heated and bitter battle between some. Why didn't the forum admins put a stop to this?

Also, Highmarch is way cooler, newer and hip, but then again, yeah go to Vix  ;D

Highmarch is tedious. The very reason I didn't go be one of the founding fathers was because of the characters who decided to join - too much tension between all of them. Vix has a much better atmosphere, now. Calm, collected, and focused. It's kind of like we went through our teenage growth spurt to adulthood, had a kid who took an arm and a leg, and now are settling down making a name for ourselves. If we haven't already  8)

Time for Eros to quit skulking around a rejoin the battles. I miss all that. Getting wounded for days and days, not so much.

I am not posting any plans on how we will win in here  ::)

Yup but these events change the war from being fun to being over in a heartbeat. My hope for EC is honestly fading entirely atm. I'm about 50/50 between pausing Garas or continuing. Fortunately he's wounded so I have sime thinking time.

Do you realize that only six months ago Greater Xavax was well and alive, Caligus was still a major empire, and Vix Tiramora was half of her size? Even then we were outnumbered by both nobles and regions. Look at where we are today. I don't understand how you can let one region and a few nobles switching allegiance effect your enjoyment of the game. There is no guaranteed victor from this current war from either side. BattleMaster is a game of more than just gold, nobles, military strength, and land. You need to pay attention to many other aspects of the game in order to be victorious in your battles, wars, and endeavors.

By recruiting more fresh players in Highmarch and Vix they will want to stay around because of characters like you who make the game more rich in content and unique personality. I encourage you to stay around for a while and don't look at the statistics of both sides. This game certainly does not always play in favor of the more powerful side.

Last I saw she was trying to cozy up to King Rowan in Caligus.

North already had a pretty big numerical advantage and now that Bescanon is theirs including its 15k militia the entire backland of Vix/Highmarch is open plus the difference in nobles widened further.

Pretty sure you can win wars with less gold, nobles, and regions. I've seen it done multiple times in this game. It all comes down to team work and communication. This war is far from over and Bescannon's little switch won't cause the South the collapse.

This is why I don't want Garas to be Lead Marshal. Needs a little more faith in our Democracies than just look at the statistics...

Helpline / Re: Password Recovery Not Working
« on: October 19, 2017, 01:52:05 AM »
Can you clarify this, please?

Is it not letting him log in with the temporary password used for resetting, or with the new password he tried to set from the Edit Data page after successfully logging in with the temporary password?

I double-checked with him and the temporary password is not letting him log in whatsoever.

This is for a friend who has recently signed up to the game and cannot remember his password. He has gone through the password recovery but reported that the account would not register the new password. He is at a loss for what to do and tempted to just quit rather than figure it out. I have prompted him not to and hence have created this topic to try to figure this out?

His family name is Eforp and he signed up in the last week.

Thank you all very much! I didn't mean to post this in a way to belittle any of you. I know you all go above and beyond for this game. Just wanted to get to the bottom of it so other players don't get disgruntled like I have.

It's not clear enough and I have played this game for many years. I didn't even realize I was "circumventing" a game mechanic. If you want players to follow the proper way then just inform us! Add a small line of text here or there. I do my research. I go on the wiki and read all of the text.

New players would definitely not catch onto this fact that they are going around the game mechanics that were intended because a helpful hint goes a long way.

Also, I do not play dishonestly. Don't start throwing around insults. It doesn't get us anywhere and it's very rude of you. Plus it gets me frustrated - is that what you want? If I have to go to OOC messages to find out that what I'm doing is wrong then you have not implemented enough (if any at all) warnings to stop players from going down this track.

I don't like finding out about new(ish) rules via OOC messages and told I will be punished for something that has zero warnings in the game or on the wiki. Quite unfair and frustrating.

So I traded my unique item to Edvard in Fallangard and then plan to accept it back from him for a much higher price in order to transfer gold to him.

^ This. Exactly why the waiting period was introduced.

It is NOT to be used to transfer gold to one another. Doing so, will get you a punishment of the GM's.
