How long until someone sends out a duel request? That's a staple of big battles on Battlemaster!

Beluaterra / Official Akkan hate thread
« on: May 29, 2017, 09:31:57 PM »
This thread devoted entirely to the purpose of hating Akkan with every ounce of your being:

Towards the beginning of the invasion Akkan was an interesting character, he was a priest ushering in the church of the portal and truth and came to be one of the few surviving original daimon lords. Now however he is just a boring and annoying jester-like entity that is quite frankly lazily done. There is nothing remotely fun or engaging about having a being you can't touch fly around your regions casting off a torrent of spells and then disappearing, and then repeating this every other half day. At the very least you could make it interesting by offering some roleplay messages, but instead you're just greeted by a barrage of spell notifications and the damages, and not a single word from the player. At least when Jarbosh came knocking it was a whole mini-event with him taunting and threatening us. Akkan however is like a reoccurring stomach bug, but you're being force-fed whatever is making you sick.

Just stop with it or make it interesting, because all it currently is doing is providing an annoyance for players who already think this invasion has been beaten to death, and is even making some consider leaving until it is over due to specific targeting, especially in the case of one player who was left unable to play for nearly a week due to magical wounding, and is continuing to have his hours sapped/having his region reduced to 50% morale. This can't even be considered as a way of punishing players for not interacting, as it prevents you from doing anything productive.

To quote the new sign on Ar Agyr's borders: "AKKAN IS NOT WELCOME"

Beluaterra / Ar Agyr Recruitment Thread
« on: May 22, 2017, 05:30:35 PM »
Come populate the lovely northern realm of Ar Agyr! Thalmarkin may have a bear as their flag, but we have a club-wielding, blue-pajama wearing man RIDING a bear as ours, and that's pretty neat-o. Join now and take a lovely estate in one of our three cities and let out a sigh of relief everytime Akkan shows up and only damages the fortifications. Or take a position in one of the rurals of the Agyrian heartland where you may have to tame the wild bears on your estate and turn them into proper steads, or tame the peasantry who are a unique mix of three different cultural groups mashed together and then scattered around.

Do you like writing geographical descriptions? Look no further: Half our regions have descriptions from 4-5 years ago talking about Melhed, and with more regions opening up its your chance to add your very own flair to your region(which may or may not be accosted by wandering undead armies at Akkan's whimsy).

So what are you waiting for? Come join Ar Agyr today and claim your very own free bear mount*!

Helpline / Fountain of Youth?
« on: May 13, 2017, 06:30:47 AM »
My character on Beluaterra received 18 hours in his timepool after turn change, did I stumble upon the fountain of youth, or has this effected anyone else? I send out a scout and my pool went down to 11 hours, then I sent a few messages and bam, I was up to 18 and now 17 after sending another scout.

EDIT: My noble on Dwilight also seems to have discovered this fountain and is up to a whopping 20 hours.

Dwilight / Wizards/Sorcerers on Dwilight?
« on: December 30, 2016, 03:26:29 AM »
I'm not sure if this has been discussed in other threads, but are there any wizards or sorcerers on Dwilight? In the West it seems like there are only sages, but I have yet to hear of any wizards roaming around. I also never encountered any of them when my advy did his tour of the south-west and south-east.

Beluaterra / Wounding on BT
« on: October 17, 2016, 08:58:33 PM »
Is the wounding system different on this island compared to the East Island? Got wounded by a group of undead(though only 20 of my men got wrecked), went from wounded to seriously wounded, to wounded, back to seriously wounded. My character is only 41, so I'd hate to see how it effects older nobles.

East Island / Eponllyn on Ice
« on: March 01, 2014, 04:10:01 AM »
The Walls of Winter   (3 hours, 56 minutes ago)
The grinding, cracking sounds people reported hearing from the fog have grown much louder and more distinct now, and large chunks of ice have been seen washing ashore on the beaches of Priotness and Jariedma. The water in Xavax's harbour is beginning to form a skin of ice in the calm areas, and the harbourmaster has been talking about ordering the ships there to leave, lest they be trapped if it freezes solid, or sunk by large chunks of ice washed in on the tide.

Above the fog, the air in the south is very clear tonight, and the full moon is remarkably bright. But an answering glow seems to come from the south, beyond the low ground fog. Lookouts in high towers in Itorunt, and even as far away as Isadril and Ibladesh, can see the moonlight reflecting off a wall of white rising high above the sea and the fog, and its glow of reflected moonlight can be seen as far north as Castle Ubent on this clear night.

Even from this far away, as impossible as it is to believe, what they see can now be unmistakably identified: it is the front edge of an immensely tall glacier, advancing inexorably upon the land.

~~~~~~~~~
Looks like Eponllyn is going to be pretty "chill" for a while. I have to admit I wasn't expecting glaciers, especially after the monster invasion. Maybe this is a sign that we should drop our swords and become expert ice carvers and rule the East Island with our artistic prowess or just freeze to death, either or.
