East Island / Re: Minas Nova recruitment

Please remain respectful.

Rule #1 of the forums:
Be respectful of other users. No insulting or derogatory behavior toward other players or forum users.

GoldPanda, you did not need to be rude; it isn't helpful, despite your comment. As Victor has kindly put here (and I quoted), that sort of behavior is wrong. You should know better.

I didn't want you to get in trouble for false advertising, so I fixed it for you. You're welcome.  ;D

Well that was rude. What is your problem?

BM General Discussion / Re: Discussion on Monsters
« on: July 02, 2018, 05:57:09 PM »
I understand fighting monsters, whether it is on Beluaterra or Dwilight. It is just part of the game. If you don't like it, don't be on the island.

It just makes me shake my head in confusion.

Minas Nova is a small realm at the moment, but there is room for advancement. Expect fighting. Thank you for your time.

BM General Discussion / Re: Best Unique Item Names!
« on: June 18, 2018, 02:05:18 AM »
It's a realm, not a character. They were on BT, and they died in the Third Invasion because when they were losing the war they started against Riombara, they absolutely refused to accept any peace that didn't amount to Riombara surrendering (for instance, they insisted upon taking several regions from Riombara in any peace treaty), and when the Invasion came, they still wouldn't give up even to fight against the monsters, undead, and daimons.

So the monsters, undead, and daimons wiped them out.

Thank you Anaris. See how little I knew, I thought it was a person, not a realm.

My first Adventurer found a unique item a while back, The Royal Club of Luz de Bia (+5 Prestige). Does anyone know who the character of Luz de Bia was?

My group and I haven't had a chance to get together for a while now (2 or 3 months). We work together and our schedules changed. Now we are finally going to get together again. The only thing is we are down to 3 people. Our fourth guy is the only one who doesn't have a single day off with the rest of us. What makes me sad is, he was going to be DMing a new campaign he was working on. Now we have to consider what we are going to do.

I like this idea. It sounds great to me.

Not sure if my character, Druzil, interacted with yours, but you can use him if you want. His info is on my family page on the wiki. If you need any more questions, feel free to ask.

When I first saw the religion was created, I wondered if it was a religion of Pot smoking. But now that I know it was supposed to be Grove and not Groove, I'm actually a little disappointed. Still, it made me laugh when I saw it.

May Redhaven prosper!

Looks like Aramon Abjur will be Xerarch, Kinsey is general [of course], Hector the Xenophon, and so forth.

Lionel's done a solid job obstructing our ["Goldwing"] attempts to create a Reformed Xavax state further south in Perdan, Fallengard, or Xavax proper -
not that everyone didn't expect it from the get-go. Our obsession with obliterating any potential deviation from the status-quo is both a boon and a curse. Remember that change is often a powerful force with stressful short-term obstacles but benevolent long-term rewards.

Do please change things up the second time around. Remember: the failure of Xavax is a direct result of our mistakes. IC we can blame everyone and their mother, but OOC, we must see past the chaff and realize that Xavax needs to change with the times. If you all behave the same way, pick the same fights, bear the same biases, occupy the same titles, pursue the same discourse, and effectively repeat history, you doom Xavax to fail just as before.

Please do as we designed Xavax culture to do: adapt and evolve. I'm hoping this doesn't devolve into a stagnant take-2 of old Xavax, for the good of all our mutual efforts.

We may hold different ideas of what Xavax is meant to be, but we derive our love of Xavax from the very same roots.

May all Xavax prosper, regardless of their political, ideological, religious, or national affiliations. A damn fine collaborative creation we've got here.

Lets keep this baby going strong for years to come!~

There is some good advice here. If you all want Redhaven to succeed, I'd suggest taking these words to heart.

Roleplaying / Re: Privateer's Guild
« on: January 01, 2018, 02:36:25 AM »
Drizztle was seeing to his horse as his new Captain approached. "Captain..." He started. "Didia," she responded,"Captain Didia, Sir." "Ah yes, Captain Didia. What news have you brought me," he asked without ever taking his eyes off his horse. He took pains to see to his horse personally. He trusted his horse with his life, so he felt it only right to see to the horse himself.

Captain Didia hesitated a moment. She was new and had not yet learned that Drizztle wanted his questions responded to immediately. Good or bad, he needed information quick. "Sir, two pieces of news. You have been promoted to Admiral in the Privateer's Guild." Drizztle turned to her at that. An honor he would strive to live up to. The last campaign had gone badly. But he had survived, despite his men abandoning him after roughing him up. It was then that his smile faded. "Two" he said.

Captain Didia nodded her head. "Yes Sir, two pieces of news. The other is that Marshal Barrett has had his leg amputated. His men report that he managed to keep from screaming for the entire operation." After she finished, the look of admiration was still in her eyes for a few moments before her training kicked in and she returned to her passive pose. "Ah, the follies of youth" Drizztle thought as he looked at his captain.

"Send the Marshal a bottle of Red Langor and three bottles of Rum," He ordered. Confusion covered her face. "Rum and Red Langor, Sir?"  Captain Didia asked. Drizztle chuckled at that. "Barrett is a good man. He will not stay down long. He will be back on his feet in no time. He has proven himself 100 times over in the time I've known him. Still, rum to sooth the heart for the loss of the leg." He stated. "And the Red Langor?" the Captain asked. "A man who can keep from screaming while his leg is taken off has earned the best I have." It struck Captain Didia that her commander held great respect for Marshal Barrett. "At once, Sir." And with that she rushed off to see his orders were carried out.

Drizztle turned back to his horse, Waverider. He would have more adventures with Marshal Barrett, Drizztle knew. And he would make sure Waverider would be ready.
