How many pics can this handle?

If I were to say, start a topic where a lot of pictures were involved (Mostly and hopefully done in MS Paint. I won't go into any more detail.), would it be preferable to use the insert image or attachment feature in the forum? Or would it be preferable that I upload to a different imagehosting service like Photobucket and link from there? Again, these are MS Paint pictures that would most likely be no more than 1 MB in size each.

I think that's the only way the image linking thing works here anyway.
