Ehndras

Every game, every genre, every server. Each side claiming innocence as well as claiming the others guilt, when all claims are paltry half-truths clouded in clever deceit.

Every single time, bahaha. The only difference is the context of a particular source of conflict. The strategies are the same, dictated by base human nature.
=)

Its all a matter of seeing how it all plays out in the end.
Old (Deleted) Aurea family= Alura (Ruler/Marshal-Terran); Alekhthaeos (Arcaea); Ehndras (Riombara); Vvaros (Arcaea); Magnus (Xerarch-Xavax); Alekhsandr (Marshal/Hero-Fissoa); Decimus (Warrior-Sandalak); Khets'aeïn(Assassin-Riombara)

This account is no longer in use. New account vaguely under wraps.

That may happen but there is much more to diplomacy then the disagreements/post inciddent situtations.

Regarding Enweil not having a surplus: possible...still, their food supply graph has been on an average of 175% since around mid-April. And if they indeed do not produce a surplus then it would have been possible to inform us of this - we'd have shrugged and said 'too bad'.

I suppose its possible they have large stockpiles but currently run a deficit because of bad weather or whatever. It wouldn't surprise me that they would make that kind of distinction. Also not surprised that they'd ask for regions, but am somewhat curious which two regions?

Everything west of Kuul and Thromegor. They kindly offered us Fwuvoghor in return. As it's apparently theirs, you know.

Hmm, I don't recall Enweil getting Fwu or even getting close.
The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

Anaris

Enweil has considered Fwuvoghor as belonging to it since the destruction of Voghor during the Second Invasion. Despite the fact that the remnants of Voghor explicitly stated that they wished Riombara to have it, and several of their leadership joined us.
Timothy Collett

"The only thing you can't trade for your heart's desire...is your heart." "You are what you do.  Choose again, and change." "One of these days, someone's gonna plug you, and you're going to die saying, 'What did I say? What did I say?'"  ~ Miles Naismith Vorkosigan

Tan dSerrai

Fwuvoghor was an independent realm, did belong to Riombara, to Enweil, to Riombara, was an independent realm. It is similarily possible to claim near all of the regions between Grehk and Fengen for one side or the other due to 'having held it once, twice or longer'. The tricky part is having the other side accept that claim. Personally I think that being friendly towards the other side might reap greater benefits than declaring them 'aggressors', 'give us X because you lost nothing in the invasion'...but thats just me.  ;D
I (as player) am highly interested in seeing how this pans out...Sassan would like to see good relations between Enweil and Riombara but if Guillaume continues to use his brand of 'persuasion' as he has been doing he'll only drive the realms further apart. I'd still like to know if he Guillaume /wants/ to antagonize Riombara or if he simply can't help himself.

Chenier

The Chénier family also consider themselves to be the rightful heirs of Fwuvoghor, and also consider that with Nicolas ascending to rulership of Enweil, the titles were merged (much like Britain and Scotland).

Thefal... really pisses off Guillaume. Truth is, they both greatly dislike each other. And do not cooperate. Heck, he tried to go behind Guillaume's back to tell the lords what to do, saying one thing and then the opposite. I never even got a copy of this letter where he demands regions...

Which leaves me confused a bit, since people have suggested various things. Guillaume asked for the border to be recognized as Thromegor/Kuulgl, which he considers as a mostly historical border (he actually considers Thromegor to be a concession of Enweilian land). He never asked for any help to regain it, though. He doesn't really want help either, his pride commands that Enweil be restored by Enweilians. Riombara, however, considers that either Lopa or both Lopa and Droxago being granted to Enweil (not sure) are concessions, because they owned Lopa when the war was stopped and Droxago was claimed for a very short time prior as well. They are both rogue right now, though, so Rio isn't giving anything.

Rio says they are full of good will and stuff, but then they say stuff like:

QuoteAll that remains now is the discussion between our Realms for a Treaty. Despite the Supreme Chancellor's claim, he knows what Riombara wants. I suggest a more honest approach to these talks, for even the most fervent supports of Enweil in my Realm are left annoyed at the recent correspondence we received from Enweil, especially when we're currently fighting to liberate Enweilian Regions, including their Capital, from the Blight as well.

To which I honestly reply: no, I have no idea what more you want. And get no response. Not to mention how obnoxious is it to claim that they are fighting for Enweil specifically, as if leaving daimons to roam was in their best interests and they were making some sort of sacrifice.
Dit donc camarade soleil / Ne trouves-tu ça pas plutôt con / De donner une journée pareil / À un patron

Velax

Maybe it's just me, but in the world of human beings, when someone does something that helps you, even if it helps themselves at the same time, you say thank you and at least act grateful. Rather than, "!@#$ you, you're only helping yourself so I owe you nothing." But, you know, maybe you don't live in that same world.

And this is why Enweil will be destroyed and a new Chenier-free realm will replace it. A shame, truly.

Protip: when you are extremely weak just after having worshiped Daimons do not insult your historical enemy (who is fighting to free your regions), pointing out how much of a bunch of a**holes and aggressors they are, avoid "generously" offering them what is not yours and try your best not to make outrageous territorial claims, demanding lands that were theirs just before the invasion. If you can avoid giving asylum and electing as your ruler those they want to see driven out of the island for treason against humanity, and charging for your help the only time you are able to provide it after having received theirs gratuitously, points for you.

PS: If Rio is not giving anything for Lopa and Droxago are rogue, then Enweil will not be giving by letting Rio take Enweilieos, Fengen, Fheuvenem, Iato, Ete City and the rest of the rogue and Daimon-controlled regions. Good to know that, though the "offering" of Fwuvoghor still puzzles me.

Rio should just take all the cities for themselves. Who cares about Enweil anyway? They served their purpose :) Now time to end their misery.

;D

Been coming since the Third Invasion.
What is Freedom? - ye can tell; That which slavery is, too well; For its very name has grown; To an echo of your own

T'is to work and have such pay; As just keeps life from day to day; In your limbs, as in a cell; For the tyrants' use to dwell

Both I and my char Sassan would be quite vocal against a proposed destruction of Enweil - this realm has such a long history, this should not be lost. Sassan is quite a traditionalist in that regard.

Well, elections coming up, so I guess Enweil will have a different chancellor soon. And as far as Sassan knows Handkor, /he/ knows the difference between 'talking softly + big stick' and 'being obnoxius + small stick'.
