Zonasa is somewhat known for winning battles with their cavalry.

Wait Zonasa is known for winning battles?

I saw that battle report. Cathay had bad lines, and Zonasa had a load of cavalry.

Well, it was less bad lines and more people's continual failure to realise than unless you have all your infantry dig in, none should.

infantry digging in... that is a big fail.

It can work quite well so long as you can rely on your army to all follow the orders.

Well Sirion just dropped a hammer on Westmoor. Westmoor had all their infantries dug in. Archer opening destroyed their men. Only lost 4k while we killed 10 k.

Yes, but didn't Sirion have more than twice the CS of Westmoor in that battle?  Not exactly an analogous situation.

Like every thing it is situational. Of course digging in is going to be of limited value against one of the best Archer armies in the game. That doesn't mean that digging in is ALWAYS stupid.

Biggest dig-in fail I ever saw: I think it was Tara/CE, several years ago. They had their army deployed in an archer opening, with Archers in front, and infantry on middle. The entire army was dug in. When we attacked, our infantry charge rushed in while their infantry sat back one line, all snug and safe behind their improvised fortifications, watching us slaughter their archers. Then, of course, we moved on in to obliterate the rest of their army. Despite both armies having pretty much equivalent forces, we emerged from the battle with almost no losses.

I'm not sure I still have that battle report. I think the hard drive it was on has succumbed to failure...
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

What's this about Zonasa fighting somebody? Pic or it didn't happen!

"Look like fools"? Bit much coming from someone who manages to get almost every realm he joins destroyed.

Hostile much? Caerwyn has been the only one. Norland was def not my fault, Fronen isn't dead, Ibladesh is still kicking it... What are you basing your facts on?

That may be the shortest war ever...Cathay and Aenilia just reached some sort of arrangement involving Ahael.

Heh, C'thonia is about to die, too, so I'm hoping he moves that character to Cathay. :P
