Realm allegiance not updating?

Apologies if this has an easy answer but I'm having trouble updating my allegiance from one realm to another. I started out in Dwilight in Aurvandil but subsequently left for Barca. I changed allegiance then to Barca and my status was updated to:

    a member of Barca
    a noble in the duchy of Candiels
    a noble of Candiels

I thought this would be fixed once I was assigned an estate by a Lord, but having received my estate in Barca that status has remained unchanged. Is there something else that has to be done before I become a noble of Barca?

From what I read in other topics, so correct me if I'm wrong, I think the old Lord (Candiels) kicking you out manually might work, as that doesn't go entirely automatic or something.

Tried that and it looks like there's nothing he can do. Anyone any other ideas?
