Standing orders should show recent scout reports

People do not use the shared scout reports because it requires multiple clicks to access (Information->Scribe Notes->report).  If the latest X (my vote is 5) army shared scout reports showed up on the standing orders block it would really save a lot of cut+paste for those who play the army game.

it does show (or at least the red bit under standing orders).. in the form of "there are X reports"

only problem is that it literally shows any and all share scout reports... from days ago and doesn't tell you about fresh ones since you last logged on or unread or whatever

that said.. literally showing the latest scribe links (fresh) for each region would be even better...

Perhaps the Marshal and Vice Marshal need to be able to control what scout reports are listed. But then that adds another chore to the position.

I wouldn't mind. Why not offer the choice? After all, there's Marshals not using the command staff, for instance.

whether the marshal does or does not sticky the thing... the "X reports" needs changing to let you know when there are fresh ones anyway.

Standing orders already tend to get too long and bulky. Adding another 5-7 lines to them would just be another annoyance. As De-Legro says, that would also be a chore that the Marshal would have to do, and it would never get done. Because really, what's the point? Are they the latest ones? Or are they outdated because the marshal hasn't logged on, and you'll have to go looking for the new ones anyway, so hey'll just be an annoyance.

No need for manual intervention--simply have the last 5 scout notes show up, maybe in an expandable drop-down list.


And if you want the marshal to have an option, give him the option of how many scout notes to show, not have him approve each one individually. That's just stupid.

Putting 5 lines there would be annoying. Putting them in a drop-down list.. interesting alternative. But then you'd have to click to see them, which would be almost the same as we have now, where clicking takes you to the scribe note page. But at least you wouldn't have to actually go to the page to see what they were. Maybe make better use of horizontal pace, and put them next to each other? A small box on the left listing the last X scout reports, and then the marshal orders next to it on the right?

Not sure. Maybe it's just me, but I really dislike how much vertical space the standing orders can take up on the message screen. Especially with it constantly being shoved in your face all the time.

... or just leave it like it is, but have it tell you how many unread new reports there are (specifically this turn) rather than how many reports there are in total in the last donkey days
