Message Formatting Problem
« Topic Start: February 10, 2012, 12:53:03 AM »
So I have a question I just sent a role play letter to the senior members of the SA church and after I typed it I made sure to space it out the way i wanted but when I sent it all went back to a big glob again and since  I am not a member of the church that is the only way I know how to send stuff to them. So I am wondering is their another way and how can I keep it from being a big glob of letters?

Take that to Helpline, had some problems with that myself.

(you did write it all in the actual message and not copy/paste from notepad or something right?)

Ah, one of the mods can split I am sure ;)

But I have the same problem with anything I copy/paste - even if I do go and space it all out in the editor.

Try hitting preview first, then go and reformat.

That would be an excellent idea if there were a preview button in the first place for sending messages to the Elders of a foreign religion, and if the message had not been correctly formatted in the first place.
After all it's a roleplaying game.

Which of the paste buttons did you use?

Tom,

The "You can also send a message to the senior members of  [religion]" and the private sermon message boxes do not use the new editor. It's still the old plain editor box.
After all it's a roleplaying game.

No, it's not you. If you write a message outside the game, in, say, notepad, and then paste it into the editor, it removes all line breaks. Not sure why.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Because the default setup of the editor works fine, but when I used it, people whined about having slightly more whitespace (paragraph breaks) in their messages than they were used to.
