Roleplaying Event   (just in)
Message sent to everyone in the vicinity of Paisly (24 recipients)

As the morning sun rises over Paisly, strange lights are reported in the sky. At first, you dismiss the peasant superstition, but then dark clouds rise up from somewhere near the harbor, slowly drifting out to sea. This is no ordinary smoke, for it hangs heavily in the air and does not disperse. Like smoke, it does make breathing difficult.

The cloud gets thicker and larger, and then some peasants report that they are hearing strange noises from out at sea where the clouds are gathering, hanging over the water now, not moving despite the wind. They almost seem to be waiting...
Event Dummy

Perhaps the blight is coming to Dwilight, which I mean the Zuma will start blighting regions, not just claiming them though it does say Event Dummy so perhaps its only a teaser for the future.

I would have thought that the Event Dummy was just the "player" name for these RP events Tom puts out. But still... time to sound the alarms, methinks.

Yes, the same "Event Dummy" exists on Beluaterra to announce these kind of things.
After all it's a roleplaying game.

Telrunya

Beluaterra just had something happen to her too. It might just also be fallout from that :)

LilWolf

Maybe it's the Zuma starting to build a bridge to invade Morek.

One can always hope..  ::)

Zoom in the Dynamic Map to see the blight near Paisly...

technology hint: The whole "zoom in" or "zoom out" advise I read all the time (also regarding changes to the map on BT) is misleading.

What's going on is that your browser is caching the image tiles of the map. If you change to a zoom level that you haven't used for a day or so, it will load those images as the cache has timed out.

A force-reload also works.

Ah, that explains it. I was already wondering why it would have been only there.

Paisly?

That's just wonderful...

What can I say? Tom is being very smart to set the start of an invasion near a Chenier's back door. Everyone will have a hard time cooperating with him to fight the Daimons. :P
I wonder if he'll let the Lurians move troops there to help...

Way to destroy the continent with the best retention... Right when really nasty wars were brewing.

Three unfounded assumptions in one fragment of a sentence. Wow.

Given the way that the Zuma have presented themselves to all the humans, I don't believe that they would be the ones Blighting. In fact, if I remember their lore properly, they did not get along well with their warlike cousins and that's why they left for BT.

Perhaps someone should ASK the Zuma instead of assuming?

I believe Allison already is.
