I suggest we have different colour backgrounds for buying and selling orders. At the moment, self placed orders and restricted ones have a different colour background, but both selling and buying have the same colour background which makes it harder to easily identify.

True, but you can sort by clicking the order type column header.

I'd rather add a selector, like:

Show [all orders / buy orders only / sell orders only]

That should be easy to add with some jquery.

That is a better idea in my opinion.

The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

In case that wasn't clear, Annaej please open a bug report if one doesn't already exist for separating types of orders. :)

How does that help traders, they need to match orders, if they select buy orders only or sell orders only they can't do that? If they select all orders, they will still need to look carefully to distinguish buy orders from sell orders.

Good point.  What if you can simply sort the orders by type?  That's both easy to implement and suits both needs.

Tom

you can already sort by type.

This isn't for the traders, it is for the region lords/stewards who are only interested in one kind of offers. For the traders, there is still the option "show both", which should be the default.
