The Republic of Mexico looks forward to an era peace after the trauma of the Reform War. I hope to lead Central America into a bright new future, one of greater prosperity.

To our American neighbours, I hope you can resolve you own civil war peacefully so as to save your lands the terrors of such a war that we Mexicans have already suffered.
