Lord can not sell food to own region?

Was recently unable to sell food to Masahakon though Lazarath has done so many times before.  Kept getting "baffled stares" from the warehouse/traders.  Is this normal or is Action->Trade not the way anymore?

Sold the food to a neighboring region.  I will try to find more food...  Was just curious if anyone else can confirm before I file a bug.

The only time I have seen that message is trying to sell food to a region you bought it from, this includes from the black market.

Just tried it on dev as an adjacent Duke and it worked, maybe I am just losing it?

The traders look at you funny as you try to sell them some of their own Food. It doesn't look as if they took it to be especially amusing.

Same when I try an individual trade offer.  Worked next door in Hatdhes as her Duke.  Likely something to do with it being the Capital?  Guess i should file a bug?

This is the message you get when you sell food in the same region where you bought it.

That is intentional. Only file a bug report if that is not the case.

Hmm, not sure if Lazarath bought the food there or not.  So he could not sell food he bought back to the region, even if it was starving?  That is expected behaviour?

It's to prevent money-laundering type abuses (such as a lord/trader repeatedly buying and selling in order to steal all of his knights' tax share)

Perhaps the game system has grow intelligent enough to recognize that you are buying/selling the same Food labelled Food no. A. Unless you buy Food labelled Food no.B. Perhaps we need get our Dev to confirm on this theory? ::)

no point. different trade system in place in testing already (thus heading to stable). that said.. think you can't take up offers from your own region in straight trade. don't know if it's possible to broker trades from same region, doubt it.
