Recruit more units

One thing I do occasionally is buy 20 men who are 60/20, say, and then 20 men who are 20/60. I end up with 40 men at 40/40.

Can you just recruit in your capital? Can you recruit in other cities? Or allied cities/capitals?

You can only recruit in your capital for a unit though paraphernalia can be recruited in all regions of the realm.

If the region has MCs (manufacture centre, how's the acronym?).

Even if the region has Recruiment Centre(also known as RC), you cannot recruit from the region/stronghold/non-capital city.

The obvious place to recruit more men is your realm capital city where the best swordman and fighters can be found all miles around. Hope this help :)
