Title: Up-to-date Realm Statistics just for your own realm.

Summary: I understand why the realm statistics were given a 7 day delay. I don't like it, but I understand the reasoning. But I believe it would be useful to have access to up-to-date stats just for your own realm. Your scribes and researchers can't get up-to-date stats on other realms, sure, but surely they can access that information for your own realm.

Details: Perhaps a new option on the Information tab would give access to the stats (once you've been in your realm long enough, like most of the Information tab). Or even a link on the "Realm and Regions" screen.

Benefits: It would be informative and useful to many nobles of the realm to have access to up-to-date stats for Food Supply, Economic Strength and so on.

Possible Exploits: None.

Possible Exploits: None.

Possible exploits: Place more spies in opposing realms so they can feed all sorts of up-to-date information to your main realm. This can be done through smurf accounts as well as just other characters.

If you have a character at all in another realm on the continent it becomes impossible to trust you.

Can't you already do that, with a little more effort?

Why make it easier to abuse?

I really don't think we should be rejecting features based on the possibility that people may create multis to find information out. If that were the case, we should not let anyone see anything.

And what would it gain you, anyway? You'll find out when that realm you're spying on is building up its forces for war? If you have a spy in that realm, you'd know that anyway, with or without the Stats page.

rejected for technical reasons. The way the graphs are generated doesn't really allow for this without considerable code changes.

If someone's going to go through the effort of proxying and bothering with all that crap in the first place, they're going to care enough to collect all that data manually. It's the actual, casual players who would benefit from an at-a-glance stats page.

That's no argument. Without the proposed stats page, only such dedicated players would go ahead and seeve through the information to manually compile data. With accurate realm stats in place, less dedicated players would also be interested in performing espionage. In a way this does mean the actual, casual players would 'benefit' from an at-a-glance stats page ;)

If such stats were to be kept (and apparently they will not be), they should be limited to council members. If your General, Banker or Ruler is a spy you're already doomed anyway :)

this has already been refused on technical reasons, so there is no use discussing it.
