So, my adventurer spawned in Terran, which is where my noble happens to be Lord of a region and an army. I've stopped my adventurer in my noble's home-region on my way to Asylonian lands and on my usual region-by-region investigation, I discovered no one has killed the damn monster population in Vassar in... Ages. They've reached Invasion levels and will probably spawn a marauding band of murderous beasts soon enough. If this were another region I'd go so far as to send a very, very respectful message to the local lord informing them of the issue and that I'm doing my best to kill them off. But... Can I message myself? And then message myself back telling myself to keep killing monsters?

I mean, I'd be fair to any adventurer that contacts me, simply because that's how I am in reality. This whole 2-character thing leads to some confusing meta-game/continuity issues that quite frankly leave me confused and wondering if I'm about to break any rules.

I mean, I could just ignore my usual Lord-warning and try to wipe them all out myself, but I just went through 16 hours and I've barely dented their population.

Also, I'll refrain from offering a bounty if that'll classify as cheating, though I think it might be better to offer a nice, big bounty and get my adventurer the hell out and HOPE other adventurers will come in to save my ass... :P

But yeah. Some advice please? <_<

This is why two same-player characters playing together sucks. You don't need to message yourself, it would be quite a hassle and nobody really does it, just assume they talked and answer so if you are asked. The problem is that it will not generate a proper torture report, should that happen, but oh well.

Torture report? Well, I hope no one tortures my adventurer, heh. That'd be bad for Terran, as all he is doing is cutting on epidemic levels of monster population all over the continent.

I'd love to RP my noble and adventurer working together, but I'm not sure if its against the rules. And yes, I'm one of those types who doesn't mind Rping with himself. I'm a Scifi/Fantasy writer, so that's effectively what I do on a regular basis. :P

You should treat each character as an individual. If your advy would talk to the lord, then do so. If your lord would fill the bokunty pot for an advy, then do so. I would probably skip the cross-character messages for stuff like that. The only time messages like that are important is for exchange of information. Personally, I hate it when people do stuff like "My brother in Keplerstan says their army is moving to attack Evilstani at dawn, we should arrive at dawn, too." And other assorted crap.

Also, this kind of junk is why I don't have two characters on any single island. Gets rid of the temptation.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Yep, and there's the added benefit that if one or two islands are slow, you have the others to pick up the slack.

...Yeah.

Due to certain new revelations, I'm considering emigrating to Belluaterra and retiring my adventurer. How is adventuring in Bellua?

Ditto.

Or even worse: the whole "John and Jane Smith" thing in the very same realm.  :P

Adventurers can't found a religion unless they become nobles first, but there should be room for them too in BT. You just get more undead in relation to monsters than in Dwilight.

One of the reasons I love Dwilight.

You can, but honestly, I wouldn't.

Oh, no. I meant I'm moving my noble Lord to Belua while retiring my adventurer that's in Terran-Dwilight.

I have no adventurer at the moment but I have a lot of contact with Adventurers on Beluaterra. Much, much more than on any other continent. This is probably due to the invasion and the necessity to obtain scolls and such. Where else do you really "need" a Unique Item? Yes the stat gain is nice but it is nothing compared with the effect they have when fighting daimons.

As Noble the invasion is kicker. Nowhere else is fear and joy so close together. I strongly recommend it ...  :)
