The new map on Region pages

I like the new map and all, but it takes ages to load. While I can avoid this issue usually by just never opening the Dynamic Map, I have no choice but to use it when going to a Region page or Scout Report. When I go to those pages, I generally don't care about the little map in the top right. What I want to see is the military information - the units in the region. But to get that, I have to wait 30-60+ seconds for the map to load, then I get the information I actually want.

I don't know if this is possible, but is it doable to have the Military/Estates/etc tabs load first, before the map?

I think if you let the map load completely, and you have your internet cache set to a decent size (20MB?), then it should stay around for a while.

I really don't know why it doesn't cache. If anyone wants to investigate, please feel free. The image tiles, for example, should cache for at least a day.

Do mobile devices like iPads cache things? I'm using Safari at the moment.
