If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Foundation, how many times have I yelled at you about trolling the forums? This is really just going too far.

I'm no biologist, but I think scorpions may be subject to the same size limits as insects, due to size:mass ratio problems. (Basically, if they got too big, I believe their exoskeletons would simply collapse under their own weight.)

QuoteJaekelopterus rhenaniae ("Otto Jaekel's wing from the Rhineland") is an extinct species of the Eurypterida (sea scorpions). At an estimated length of 2.5 meters (8.2 feet), it is one of the two largest arthropods ever discovered (the other is a giant millipede-like animal, Arthropleura, although which animal was larger is unclear)

Also, see image for the largest arthropod currently existing..... *shudders*
After all it's a roleplaying game.

I will try to restrain my urges in the future.  :-[

Notice both examples are aquatic...

Yes, good job feeding those 2 peasants. Well done.  ;)

It's a desert. It won't be the starvation that slows you down.

Feeding 2 people is apparently a feat D'Hara was unable to achieve.

Or, we deliberately chose to sell the food to Sallowtown in order to starve the Solarian army. Take your pick.

Foundation

Nah, I think the difficulty in feeding 2 peasants is more believable for D'Hara.  :)
