What number of characters makes for a better game?

One noble per island (Dwilight)
22 (44%)
One noble per realm, multiple per island allowed
11 (22%)
One noble in power per realm, multiple characters in same realm allowed
6 (12%)
Multiple characters in same realm allowed
11 (22%)

This is something that we keep going over and over. Does having two family members in the same realm cause a problem, or is it okay? What about realms that only allow one of the nobles to have power and positions?
Should the Dwilight rules apply to the other islands?

Lorgan

I vote for two nobles per realm, no character restriction on continent level and no restriction on power.

Foundation

No noble restrictions on islands other than Dwilight.  Keep the uniqueness of Dwilight. ;)
The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

I would prefer if just one noble per island was allowed, just as in Dwilight. That way, no more troubles with channeling information or the quiet character supporting your main one would happen. Besides, there's so much variety to be seen amongst BM realms that it is a pity seeing people with the same characters in just one realm.

One noble in power per realm, multiple characters in same realm allowed.

That's what I voted for.

This is obscene.

I find it absurd that a couple of people can lock out the power structure of a realm for years. One per island.

I too, feel strongly about a one to one ratio between BM characters and players.

More than a noble per Realm is stressing and hate it. i would like to support 1 per continent, but i don't like all continent.

Normally i play 2 on same continent, but in different extreme (farthest apart possible) with different personalities, profession and units.

Peace!

1 character per island is my choice. It just seems like to much power can be concentrated in one person/ they can use knowledge obtained from other characters to their advantage.

Players should treat characters as difrent people, not extensions of one entity, called family.
Has anyone had their characters be in conflict with one another?

Uzamaki

I have a King in one realm, and a High Priest in that same realm. That King, though, is a politics and military guy, my High Priest is a religion guy. I am careful not to let them overlap too much. Also, I make sure to keep my characters separate. My characters have different views on different things, and could end up on different sides of the fence in an argument. It's happened before.

This, but I'd put a one-character-per-continent restriction for newbies, to help save them from themselves (dumping all of their characters in a boring realm).

At one point, I had two characters in Thalmarkin. They were constantly arguing with each other. One of them was my RP character so I used him to write RPs bad mouthing the other one. One thing I did not want to do was flood the realm with my own messages... I could have made them fight each other all day...
