I'm not sure if people stray into the other forums so I'm posting in all the islands.

Please post interesting items (spice them up) to go onto the Battlemaster Facebook page.

Cheers,
Scott

Nothing ever happens in Atamara.

Actually there is a diplomatic summit being done at Stargard with rulers and ambassadors of Suville, Carelia, Caergoth, Strombran, Tara, and Cagilian Empire so it is going to be quite the event. I will write up a better sounding and more informed version hopefully tonight.

Is Coria really not invited? I just assumed you guys thought/knew we were too busy.

EDIT: On topic, wait a day or so and we might have a story of a fight between MI, BoM and ML.

Azerax

You were basically considered irrelevant as it a summit for the the southern realms, CE only got in because they asked.

And yet we were the first to sign peace with Suville, despite CE's peace treaty being drafted first. It's cool, though, we really are too busy... And the CE should cover our angle anyway.

On-topic:

The Barony of Makar rallied probably its strongest force in... I dunno, a year?

We then attacked Leohampton with the promised support of Minas Ithil (who actually issued their orders first. Knowing them, Maduin never expects a cooperative move from them unless they send orders first.) and saw not a scrap of Ithilian banner join us. I would've even taken a single blue thread from their flag caught on my helmet as them joining us... but nope.

We did do more damage than I expected, though. Also, with a little under half the men of Minas Leon, we had almost as much CS. I calculated it out: Per man, the Barony had about 12.5 CS. Leohampton (Tara + Minas Leon) had 9.9 CS per man. Not that these numbers mean much... I'm just proud of our troop quality.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm stupid and don't read orders properly...

Do I post this? Not sure if your Edit means not to.

The upshot is that the Barony got it wrong, and attacked too soon. They thought they were going to get help from MI, but didn't, so they get their asses kicked. If they had gotten the timing right, and attacked together, they may have won.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

It's still a major event, I just thought proper credit should be given for the mistake.

Lemme rewrite this for the FB page:

The Barony of Makar rallied its strongest army in almost a year to be joined by Minas Ithil's forces in an attack on Leohampton, the capital of Minas Leon - traitors to Minas Ithil. Unfortunately, Minas Ithil's forces take longer to move and the smell of blood was too much for the Vikings of the Barony. While Minas Ithil was still making preparations, the Vikings attacked. Despite the odds, the Barony performed much better than expected, with survivors of the battle holding pieces of the walls in their teeth.  Minas Leon was left scratching their heads while the Viking Horde retreated.

That sound better? Of course, edit it as you see fit. I'm probably too one-sided. :)
