The Fissoan Privateers, alongside allied Lurian troops, have finally breached the walls of Madina.
Militia, weakened by starvation and disorder, were unable to repel the invading armies, who quickly took control of the outer sections of city. Meanwhile, mobs of armed peasants patrolled the inner boroughs and slums, quickly dispatching anyone who still called themselves Falkirk, after rumors started that suggested the invading forces had brought food with them to end the famine that had crippled the city for weeks. By the time the sun had risen over the shattered outer wall, and the liberators had moved inwards toward the heart of the city, the rioting peasants were proclaiming themselves loyal subjects of the Grand Duchy of Fissoa.
The Falkirkian Freestate has fallen.
