[Forum Game] Werewolf XIII: The Heaven Falls Upon Us!

Forgiveness is divine and while the bloodshed thus far has been necessary, all but the death of the Demon Penchant were regrettable. Demons cannot be redeemed. Men are falliable, and if possible should be spared. I will not hesitate to kill if need be. I'm merely offering a chance for these pitiful souls to save themselves the agony of eternal damnation.

First I was an Inquisitor, now I'm an Angel?? What's next? ??? So, we failed with Penchant. Big deal. It was his fault for saying one thing in public and privately messaging me another.

Here's a hint - look around you, do demons or worshippers spout religious texts??! Come on Imps - pull your act together? I'm not going down with the rest of you runts. >:(

Guys, how stupid can you guys be? Penchant is a mentally enhanced demon and he openly admitted he is one and accused Egamma is Angel. Is that really that hard?

Egamma first, then Stabbity and Fury next. Tandaros seems misled because he was protected in first night, not of an angel attempted his life. If we are supposed to win and lost because someone act like stabitty, then i will stab u in the face :p

No. You are an Angel. The scan showed that you are an Angel, unless the GM himself is lying.

With my bodyguard Lefanis dead, I may not survive today. So, I have tell this before I die that I scanned Fury and he is an Angel according to the result. (Penchant scanned egamma and found him to be an Angel)

Today's update will not happen before 2 am (BM time), which is when I'll hopefully arrive home. I apologize for the constant delay, you guys have been very patient all these days, so thanks for that.

They all remained sit in the main hall for some time, playing with their fingers and looking at each other. This was madness. Who the hell were the real assassins? They seemed to have some ideas, though, as soon Stabbity and Ketchum accuse DK of having manipulated them in the last vote.

That breaks the ice, and Disturbedyang, Elegant and Tandaros declare that egamma is their enemy, inviting more of the gathered to join them and throw the servants of the Light into oblivion once and for all. Egamma does not remain quiet, and points back to Disturbedyang.

Ketchum does not say anything at all, simply glancing to them all with a smile in his lips. That makes the rest uncomfortable. Why is he so happy? Is he not afraid of death? Fury participates in the discussion, but even being accused himself also seems relaxed, and so do egamma and DK.

Some hours and a lot of arguing later, they recount the votes, and announce that egamma would be the one lynched. Disturbedyang, Elegant and Tandaros stand up, making expressions of joy when they discover that they had managed to win the election. They surround egamma, and wait for the rest to join them in the lynch; but freeze when they see Fury, egamma, Stabbity, Ketchum and DK looking at each other. And smiling wider. Much wider.

- I think that we have played enough with them, haven't we? – says Ketchum.

- Sure we have. You have done well, our loyal servants. Very well – answers Fury.

At the same time, the five of them stand up from their seats. They throw off their coats, showing what they had kept hidden from the very beginning.

In front of the astonished eyes of the followers of Darkness, Ketchum and Stabbity were dressed in the full equipment of a Church Inquisitor. A powerful angelic aura, coming from Fury and egamma, makes Elegant to look at them, hatred making his eyes to glow red. The eyes of the Angels also glow in their characteristic blue color. The three Darkness survivors looked at DK, who had a robe that they had not seen before, trying to find an ally in him, but they lose all hope when he takes Stabbity's hand, and recites the following:

- I invoke that I will swore this alliance with the Holy Church to get rid of the foul beast, known as Demons from the face of the Earth. Like Men and Elves would, The Last Alliance against Mordor, I swore to defeat the Demons like how Mordor was defeated.

Immediately afterwards, Stabbity pulls out a crucifix, waving it over DK while reciting blatant heresies and accepting him as an ally to the Holy Church. DK corrects him a bit, though, and after that, Stabbity grins at Disturbedyang.

- Voting stupidly you say?

Fury and egamma flee from the main hall, and Elegant goes after them without a moment's hesitation. Back in the main hall, Stabbity offers Disturbedyang and Tandaros their salvation if they join the one and only Church, but they reject it outright, preparing themselves to fight.

It is in that moment when Ketchum and Stabbity shrug, taking out their blessed weapons. Stabbity grasps his crucifix with the left hand, carrying in the right the dagger that was used to kill Lefanis. Ketchum is even more intimidating, wielding a two-handed large war flail which he holds as it had been made to match him perfectly. Which was the truth, of course.

And they charge on their enemies, Ketchum jumping over Tandaros and Stabbity circling Disturbedyang. Tandaros, knowing that he is no match for a Church Inquisitor in open combat, looks around in despair searching for something to help him in the fight, but he is already condemned. The war flail impacts Tandaros in the chest, sending the ravaged upper half of his body flying in the air. Ketchum then looks to the other fight, satisfied about his own success. After all, Sir Leon, Church Inquisitor and Knight of Camelot has cleansed the land of demons and its taints. No doubt the next quest is the Holy Grail itself.

Tandaros the Mentally Enhanced Demon Worshipper (Pseudo-Seer) has been reduced to a half man.

Stabbity, on the contrary, knows very well that Disturbedyang is more than able to defend himself properly. Provided that he can move around, that is.

For that reason, he moves his crucifix in a strange pattern, reciting some words in a whisper. Disturbedyang is about to attack him when he discovers that his muscles are not answering to his orders. Terrified, he can only watch still as Stabbity walks slowly towards him, putting the holy relic almost in front of his eyes and giving him the last words.

- Proverbs 10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge; but the mouths of the foolish are near destruction.

With no further ceremonies, Stabbity stabs repeatedly the vulnerable chest of Disturbedyang, obtaining pleasure from every single second until his victim finally ended dying.

Disturbedyang the Physically Enhanced Demon Worshipper (Bodyguard) has been stabbed repeatedly to death.

But it was not all over. Elegant had persecuted the Angels, finally ending in Fury's room. The entrance is blocked with heavy obstacles, but he draws a sign in the air, and a large fireball comes out of his hand, destroying the barricade completely. Entering the room, he finds Fury relaxing in a chair, and egamma laying against the wall.

Fury laughs as he recalls the famous last words of Lefanis:

Games over, churchy boy.

And remembers his own super retort:

Oh, btw - this phrase seems strangely similar and familiar.
All I can say is - be afwaid, be vewy afraid.  8)

As a messenger of heaven, he is able even to hear the ghost of Lefanis screaming desperately:

So glad I'm going to hell, and not that heaven! Seeya soon, Jasmine!

What he didn't know was that any virgin who died a virgin went to heaven and Fury had redeemed her soul by taking her life - first. Or to put it another way, he killed her. Then nailed her.

And now, he wanted to deal with Elegant. That demon broke into his room the very first night. He didn't even knock. And now he was publicly making accusations, not that they were unfounded.

After having burned the barricade down, Elegant strode arrogantly into the centre of the room, his red eyes glinting dangerously in the dark place.

- Time to die, Angels! I will avenge Penchant's death! - he growled, confident in his power and excited about finally having his nemesis right where he wanted.

- That's right, Demon - Fury and egamma smiled - LOOK UP!

- Oh hell...

The rune activated itself, trapping Elegant in a storm of heavenly energy. He only had time to roar before he was instantly disintegrated, unable to withstand the combined power of two Angels.

Elegant the Demon (Pseudo-Seer) has been turned to dust.

DK, in the meanwhile, has been just looking at the bloody sunset, the seal of the entrance door removed as soon as the last of the followers of Darkness was defeated by the servants of Light. A powerful magic stems from him, as he had decided to cast a spell on him to avoid death for a whole day. Today, DK was immortal. And possibly in the future, too, seeing how well his choice of team had played out.

- Finally... - he says - Those Demons... They did this... - As he recalls that awful memory... Which scarred him for life... A flashback occurred...

DK can now rest properly... Think properly... And then...

- Wait a minute... They are Japanese... They are suppose to be weird... Ooooops...

For the next few hours, all of them purge the sanctuary from the influences of Darkness, using spells, divine powers and holy relics for that purpose; and burning also the bodies of their dead foes. Right on time, at midnight, the five survivors descend to the deepest chamber of the sanctuary, and prepare everything to their liking. They were ready.

Fury and egamma placed themselves on the opposite sides of the huge drawn rune, with Ketchum and Stabbity doing the same in the remaining corners. DK stands up right in the middle, prepared to canalize the energy from the ritual to open again the Heaven Gate.

They all start chanting, their voices mixing in a complex melody, and the sanctuary begins glowing in blue light. When the generated power is enough, DK guides it using his ancient knowledge of magic, and a blue beam goes from the mountain right to the sky. A great thunder echoes in the night, and a storm grows outside, quickly reaching a strength similar to that of a typhoon. In the chamber, insane laughs come from the servants of the Light, still amazed by their supreme victory.

Outside, the thick layer of clouds is once again vanishing, and letting some sun rays to scratch the ground of the human world. But beware, humans... for the worst is yet to come.

There you have it. The game has ended, with an overwhelming victory of the baddies (see why I wanted to have 16-18 players?  8)) Now you are allowed (and encouraged) to post or quote whatever GM or player's PMs you want, as well as make questions and answer them. It is the time for everyone to take a look at the "behind the scenes" stuff, which will hopefully teach both our newer and older players to play better on next games.

I want you to know that I have enjoyed very much hosting the game, even taking into account how short has it been. I am also very grateful for your infinite patience on my everyday delays, especially this last one, and look forward to play with all of you guys once again!

So, let the closed curtains be opened and the truth revealed!  :D
