I'm also pretty sure that this came up in World War Z as well.

I only "read" an abridged audio-book version of World War Z. But from what I remember, the zombies in WWZ pretty much rotted away, rather than starved or anything like that. The zombies spent the entire winter frozen in lakes and under piles of snow, and even live underwater for a long time.

Should we split the topic to one in the General Discussion section where we can talk about zombie movies?

My views have been in Romero's <Insert noun> of the Dead movies, the 28 <insert unit of time> Later, Zombieland, and Resident Evil (the games and the movies).

I guess I could talk about them a bit, though they'll obviously be all about spoilers.
