Marshal Settings and Multiple Armies
« Topic Start: December 19, 2012, 08:08:05 AM »
So, a realm has two armies. The General orders the two armies to attack a single enemy army in Region X. How can the two Marshals best organize their armies to support each other? I assume the they would both have their troop leaders use the same line settings and then both select the same formation.

Is this the best strategy?
Has anyone seen benefits from the two Marshals using different formations?
Does the difficulty of reliably coordinating two armies in a single battle discourage realms from using multiple armies?
Has it ever been proposed that the General be able to select line settings that only apply when he and multiple armies are in the same region?
Are formations used often, or do many Marshals turn them off and go with line settings only?
