I like the 'stay out of my region' schtick better when it's not enforced by a bunch of mechanics that every lord can use. The power to bar someone from your lands should not be derived from a few button clicks, but from yourself.

To address Indirik's concern about donut lords blocking dukes, if I was Duke of Rettleville and the Lord of Rettlewood told me I couldn't cross through his region, I'd have the Judge ban him instantly. And if I don't have the influence to get that done, well then maybe I deserve to get locked out of my city :P
