Aurvandil had a significant positive balance in terms of food, and no friendly realms to really trade with. So did Falkirk at the time, I believe. And Mendicant frequently made comments about how he could have prevented our starvation.

And then they starved too. Not quite as bad, but in the end, we all starved.
