Yeah, though I'm not proud of that particular piece. Just didn't have time to make it really good.
My big question is if that BM app you had exists to functionally use BM or if it was only programmed to just show what you wanted. It might not be very graphical but simplicity is nice on a phone. It was cool to hear your voice too.

Seriously. That UI made me drool after using the current mobile site.

I thought the video was some kind of advertisement, skipped it altogether. I admit I fell for it, never thought it was the April Fools Joke. How silly of me *lol*!
Just stay alive and kicking, raise your voice when its needed. Through reason you can show the mistakes of others, something violence can't do.

I don't break rules, I bend them- a lot.

I made it up. Everything about the guy is true (so it would check out on searches), but I have no idea if he's playing BM or not. I'd be surprised if so.

I saw the video and was all, "Holy crap, that'd be awesome!" Then someone mentioned April Fools and my excitement was crushed. Aw.

Valast

But I already bought mine because of it!  SONOFA...

kidding.

My guess is that he programmed it such that when he pressed the "talk" button on his phone, the voice sent back the pre-recorded message of what the "response" was. So that Tom could pretend to have a conversation with the phone. Careful use of slight of hand would distract from his movements in actually pressing the button and the timing of it.

I am sure you are right or that it is some slight variation of it. If you were replying to what I said though, I was only hoping for the text menus and such that was used with it. It's plain, but it is extremely user friendly. (The plainness could eventually be changed.)

Agreed. Don't care for the voice stuff, anyways.

Well, the video was done with Mockability on my iPhone for the visuals. The audio was simply the text-to-speech from my Mac. If you look carefully, you can see how I press on the screen to trigger screen changes. The audio was simply added in post-production.

As for the interface - the mobile site could look like that one day, but it is an extremely cumbersome process to add it because it sits on top of the regular interface which was not designed with that in mind.

If you had an actual app, in the app store...that would be nice.

Sonya

I actually thought it was a Real BM application, is true i was skeptic about it, and I thought it would be something complicated, sorry not everyone is smart with technology.

But now that I think about it is not a bad idea. A BM application that get you update each important event would be cool.

Dramatization:

Me at Cinema watching a movie, when suddenly the phone rings (With BM notification sound)

Me: Ohh My!! A NEW WAR WAR IS BREAKING OUT!
Audience: SHhhhh!
Me: opss sorry!

I've wanted this for a long time. Seems like it would open up the game to a new market of players, too.
