Several has mentioned Bowie Ironsides. How did he become so infamous anyways? Must have been during my paused period. They (the real powers) did allow him to become ruler in Swordfell 8)

He's infamous because he's an annoying and loud !@#$%^&.

He hasn't actually done anything noteworthy.

He created the Dwilight University, though mostly as a venue over which to air his diatribes. It has spread pretty far and wide.

Nah, that was Vita... Or that old duke of Springdale.

It was Sejieda Vita's idea, but Sammael Haines (Springdale's Duke) founded it. It was never intended to be a venue to vent. Unfortunately, both Haines and I had our families deleted from inactivity. Bowie was a vocal (like everything else he does) supporter of Dwilight University, so he was involved in seeing it spread. If it weren't for Bowie, it probably would've died. As itis, it barely survived.

Oh, and I had *thought* Pierre von Genf had a higher elder rank than Bowie as Dean of Students or some such, but maybe we never got around to actually promoting him. Pretty sure it was discussed though.

Ahhh... I forgot that old history of the DU. Too bad it turned out like it did.

He is, but he wants to resign.

The funny thing is that the DU was supposed to create discussion and allow for all nobles to express their views. I never understood why nobody challenged Bowie the entire time he made his polemics and his histories (which were actually quality works by the way). If the DU became polarized to one viewpoint it is because the other side never bothered to build its own camp. Nobody would have stopped them, just like nobody bothered to stop Bowie. Instead they fled the debate!

He's infamous because he's an annoying and loud !@#$%^&.

Antagonist is the polite word,  ::)

Reputation largely, mythology even larger. Bowie had a marvelous PR agent  :P
Ironsides Family, mainly East Continent and Dwilight. I dip my toe into Atamara here and there

He is, but he wants to resign.

But no one wants the position, so I'm stuck. If you want it, just ask, I'll gladly let anyone who is interested have it.

My new character was already planning to join DU when he went on his pilgrimage and building another campus in luria when he returned. Stick it out a little longer, mention passing the torch to DU, and he might accept.

Bowie adding history doesnt bother me. I like it when people are adding small touches of lore to the land as long as its not far out there or infringes too much on already established realm or region lore. We should be actively be adding lore to the game. I wish there was more descriptive features one could add to their realm for ... Hmmm thats a good gold sink idea, have things like 'ruins' or 'swamp' that you canbuy etc to add to your regions... Agh I digress.
