Appointed lord elevated to Duke not showing in family history - normal or bug?

Hey,

Silas created a duchy out of Balance's Retreat on Dwilight. Bowie Ironsides was already the lord of the stronghold. He becomes duke but it says nothing in the family history.

If you get appointed to Duke normally it usually gets recorded there but not now. As the titles say - normal or bug?
