So...was the account ever restored or at least attempted? It would really suck for this to have just wandered off into no resolution and have lost a player in the process, a rather involved one too.

Always use administrator control and lengthy passwords in your pc, if possible hide your keyboard and mouse in a secure place. It works against crazy sisters so I can assume it will also do good against angry girlfriends and roommates

I did investigate this, but unfortunately, there is no easy way to restore characters. There has never been a script created to handle the whole thing together, and there are so many different pieces that would need to be somehow pulled from a DB backup and inserted into the live DB that I am afraid this is really just not practical.
