We just had exactly the same thing occur within Outer Tilog... Noble arrives, and 5 real minutes later, without a word to the realm, he attacks an ally in our capital.

As was said before, really tacky and pointless, even for Outer Tilog standards.

After all it's a roleplaying game.

Yes, Outer Tilog is different.

However, everything we do is fun based, and involves interaction. Not just turning up in the realm, saying nothing to anyone, and *within 5 minutes of arriving in the realm* going and stabbing an ally.

It screams out OOC behaviour and is certainly not the way I would expect to play with friends. All it would have taken would have been a short RP beforehand to give it some flavour and I would not have any issue with it. that didn't happen and it just comes across as a bit pathetic...

I mostly agree with you, but an opportunity to use both Comic Sans and <marquee> in context is not something to be wasted....

Outer Tilog is the best realm I've ever been in. My char once a famous perdan hero and commander for the PSF decided "screw you all I'm going."

He got hit by something 'heavy' during the ship journey and dumped in Outer Tilog. Where he lived his life as a loony drunken Cavalry commander who used sheep instead of horses and big planks or threes to use in battle. And everybody was very accepting.....Outer Tilog is different  8)

Why Makar?

Why Makar?

You should play a character there, if you haven't. Sordnaz is a great dictator because he grants positions without playing favorites.

Makarians are Vikings, so they eat horses instead of riding them--so their cavalry ride goats, or peasants. Sobriety is outlawed, and bathing is a sign of madness.

That doesn't sound like Vikings... that sounds like some out of control fantasy stories vaguely based on Vikings.
Ardet nec consumitur.

Sacha

And that's after the pink tutus were taken out of the equation.

Read the Mark Wiki, and the Outer Tilog wiki. They both have unique cultures.
