Murdering Monsters?

I attempted to have my infiltrator character murder militia in a rogue region that only had monsters. He killed 3 guards. Were those monsters?

That's not supposed to be possible. Please file a bug report.

I remember infils going out to assassinate daimon units back in the last invasion(s).
