Title: Attack your own realm for power and position

Summary: Have your own army be able to conqueror and exert control of regions in your own realm.

Details: As stated above. Have region lords able to make armies and try to gain control of other region and remove a lord they don't like and create their own duchy. Also have dukes able to use their armies for force regions into their own duchy and maybe replace lord.

Benefits: Makes the game more realistic and adds more options for flavor and RP.

Possible Downsides/Exploits: Takes the game away from the realm aspect and makes it more duchy and region lord based.

Nope. This is called "destroying every bit of fun left in the game" for 90% of our players.

Explanation?

Your realm is your team. If you start fighting against your own team, suddenly no one knows who they can trust or who's safe to just try to have fun with.

And what if many of us find it fun to create internal plots?

You'll have to do so without the ability to attack your own realm-mates. Which is exactly the same as it's always been in BattleMaster.

And, as an addendum, while I know firsthand just how much fun it can be, it's also important to keep in mind how much it's going to destroy the fun of others around you.

If you really want to do this, it's really easy. Have all your realm's duchies secede. Now you can do exactly what you just requested.

There is another way. You can set your unit to Murderous setting on your own realm lands. Do keep in mind attacking your own realmmate are normally looked upon as "attacking your team" and you will be ban for sure by the Judges. That is normal behavior I suppose.
Werewolf Games: Villager (6) Wolf (4) Seer (3); Lynched as Villager(1). Lost as Villager(1), Lost as Wolf(1) due to Parity. Hunted as Villager(1). Lynched as Seer(2).
Won as Villager(3). Won as Seer(1). Won as Wolf(3).
BM Characters: East Continent(Brock), Colonies(Ash), Dwilight(Gary)

Murderous settings will not cause you to attack your own realm's forces.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Eoric the Dim (Perdan), Enoch the Bright (Asylon), Emeric the Dark (Obsidian Islands)

Orobos, The Insatiable Snake (Sandalak)

FWIW - I am dead set against any form of intra-realm combat or warfare. That may make a fun game for some people, but it is not this game.

Funnily enough, this is the exact lacking with Battlemaster that many of the people playing Might & Fealty are trying to introduce into that game, and Tom is actively encouraging it. Sooo... yeah.

M&F isn't BM. Although they share some aspects, they are also quite different.

BM is more realm oriented while M&F is more family-oriented. I personally think M&F is modelling after CK2 more than BM.

And who says M&F will succeed or be fun?

Intra-realm conflicts have been promoted for quite some time as a means to create fun... Since... the game started to decline?

Some players have a blast betraying everyone else. Most players don't love being lied to and betrayed, even if it's all RPed characters. Some people praise the most destructive characters, and praise about how they "shake things up". They are also the same people who tend to turn people off and who cause scandals which cause the most people to outright leave the game.

Just because you personally don't like it, isn't proof that what you say can be generalized across the player population. The fact that this issue keeps cropping up is proof of that.
