No battle in Ciarin Tut for 2 turns???

There seems to be a bug which for some reason hasn't started a battle between D'hara-Barca vs Luria Nova for the last two turns in Ciarin Tut. The region is currently listed as under control of Luria Nova and the realms are definitely at war with each other, with plenty of troops (at least on the Lurian side) with orders that would normally have a battle fought. Any thoughts as to why this is, and how to remedy the situation?

It's rather annoying when you thought you'd finally win one, only to have it not happen at all.

Anaris

No bug here, just some less intuitive mechanics.

Here's how the logic in the combat script runs:

Luria Nova is the region owner. They get to be the primary defenders.

Asylon is their ally. They're also on the defending side.

D'Hara is also there, but they're not at war with all the defenders (peace with Asylon), so they don't attack.
Barca is also there, but they're not at war with all the defenders (peace with Asylon), so they don't attack.

Thus, no battle.

This kind of counterintuitive situation will be clarified when I rewrite the combat script in a few months (at the end of the War Improvements Package).

Damn Asylon causing problems again! >:(
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Sorry about that, just passing through. I've been trying to keep the mystic mischief down, but even when I don't mean to do anything Enoch seems to throw a wrench in everyone's plans.  :-[
Eoric the Dim (Perdan), Enoch the Bright (Asylon), Emeric the Dark (Obsidian Islands)

Orobos, The Insatiable Snake (Sandalak)

So... What you are saying is that Asylon attends every battle with Luria... Luria becomes invincible 8)

Just set troops to murderous - problem solved.

Or declare war on Asylon. Punish the meddlers.  >:(

That only works if your troops are the attackers. Defenders set as murderous will *not* trigger a battle.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I passed Anaris' post on to LN so everyone knew what was going on (admittedly, some were still ticked about it).

Rather than LN being invulnerable, it stopped a battle that we would have loved to have fought (and won). But in any case, we still won the main battle, just with far more casualties than necessary. Except me. Didn't take a single hit :)

Now damn you Asylon, unless you don't want LN to help you curb-stomp some people, declare war.
