You were attacked!   (20 days, 2 hours ago)
You are surprised by a dark figure suddenly emerging from the shadows just as you are going to sleep. Desperate, you take out a dagger, the only weapon within reach, and face your attacker.
The attacker cuts through your defenses, and sinks the blade into your body twice before running away, seriously wounding you.
The guards are unable to prevent the attacker's escape.

---------

20 days and still recovering. With all respect but this is getting a bit to much.

Laurens88

yeah after 20,5 days...I'm finaly back in action lolz 8)

So... more stats plz, age, etc.
The above is accurate 25% of the time, truthful 50% of the time, and facetious 100% of the time.

Wounds Healing   (7 days, 22 hours ago)
The healers say your condition is improving.
You are recovering from your wounds, and able to act and send messages, though you can't do as much as usual in a day.
----

Recovered   (1 day, 10 hours ago)
You have recovered from your wounds and are once again fully active.
----

So it took 14 days after the attack before I went into recovering status and another 6.5 day before being fully healed.

Physical Age:    54 years
Main Class:    Priest
Sub Class:    Diplomat
Honour:    95
Prestige:    28

20,5 days after the attacked fully able to play the game again -_-

Indirik

Wow, that is an epic wound. 14 days from stabbed to being able to play at all, and 7 more days of recovering.
If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Laurens88

Epic would be one word, I almost went clean cold turkey with my Ibladesh character. Any ideas how many restless nights and sweaty hands I had last month  8)

That would seem excessive and could result in a complete loss of interest in a character subjected to it. Say you are attacked again within 5-10 days, and because you are just lucky get a similar wound.
Previously of the De-Legro Family
Now of representation unknown.

Laurens88

I thought the same, I checked and rechecked but couldn't find anything else. it took 20,5 days -_-

I recall that Tom even wrote on the Dlist pretty clearly that the point is to delete older characters, that we were playing a family, and shouldn't place excessively great attention to individuals.

It's on the Dlist, in one of the Wounding threads. I think it was when the new wounding was just implemented, and people were complaining about how long recovery time took for older characters.

Edit: Aha, found it: http://news.battlemaster.org/pipermail/discuss/2011-February/047212.html

Edit 2: Here's the one where Tom says you shouldn't cling to one character:

Yes, I'm thinking of killing off my two older characters. My priest spends more time wounded than she does preaching.

Try doing less hazardous things?

'Twas ol' Ben Franklin I b'lieve, said, "Well-lived is better than long-lived."

Indirik

Redefine your definition of "well-lived" to something more age-appropriate.

Well, Priestess Zoe just got stabbed again, poor her :P To be fair, she is indeed preaching in enemy lands, not the most safe place to be.

She's preaching in the region that she owns. The problem is that another realm has declared her faith to be evil. Should I just give up, and have her switch religions to one she has been opposed to for 3+ years, because doing so would be less hazardous?
