If at first you don't succeed, don't take up skydiving.

Eldargard

I'll meet your hate of daylight savings time and up you a hate for timezones...

Kai

Guys... I have an idea

We will unroll the Earth.

Eldargard

What? Unroll it? How can you possible unroll something that is flat?

All joking aside, I really do hate timezones and think they are rather pointless. Who cares if dawn is around 0700 in Germany and around  2200 in Seattle? Just numbers! We would all get used to it rather quickly and it sure would simplify a lot of things...

Chenier

I think you mostly hate that Europe and America don't apply it at the same time.

Eldargard

No, not really. That is just icing on the cake. Working on international teams and having family in two countries has really done it for me.

With Time Zones:
"Ill call you at 7PM."
"Your time or my time?"
"My time."
"What time is that here... hold on let me check..."
"No worries, I already did. 8AM your time."
"Okay, thanks! That works!"

Without Time Zones:
"Ill call you at 7PM"
"It's a bit early, but should work"

Chenier

Ooooh, I know, let's go back to microlocal times!

Everyone adopt PSR (post-sunrise) clocks, which start 00:00 at sunrise, locally! Then people can start contracts saying that instead of starting the work shift at 8:00, they start it at 2:00PSR, so their cycles are perfectly aligned with the seasons! :D

You've heard of Greenwich Mean Time, right? You can use it.
After all it's a roleplaying game.

I know the struggle... like waiting the turn until 3 AM here to banish prisoners.
Happily, I don't have Judges anymore.
Now with the Skovgaard Family... and it's gone.
Serpentis again!

True, though I prefer UTC. Of course, it would kind of be like me up and deciding to create my own language and refuse to speak or understand any other. Not terribly productive. So I will keep on using time zones and daylight savings time like any other but I will also continue to complain and dream!
