With that the Baron would pull on the leash of the scribe who had written his previous letter, a gurgling sound and a jet of blood as the pressurized artery pumps out into the air.

"And presto, one scribe released of his burden. Oh, and everything else too. The acid version works on the same concept, but instead of cutting a throat, it injects acid into their esophagus so that they die a wonderfully slow, painful death as the acid both eats away the throat lining and is breathed into the lungs. With that Kuriga would hand Darius the collar, which had a tag stating that the supplier was not responsible for any acid spills, bodily harm to the owner, revolting scribes, or bureaucratic mess resulting from killing the scribes.
