Having finally gotten to Shinnen after marching overland for days, Zhukov accepts a duel with one of the Astrumese, and loses. Seriously wounded, his men fight on without him but are slaughtered.

To him, it is only symbolic of the Bloodstar's death.

Well Astrum probably thought the fight was a bit unfair towards LB so they got D'Hara to join in to even the odds a bit.

Maybe, I don't know. I was hoping to kill off the character in a duel, so I'm unfortunate that it was just to surrender.
