Just a random thought I came up with:

The transfer of prisoners to the prison of an allied realm.

For example, a particular realm captures a prisoner that is wanted by an allied realm. Prisoner can be escorted to the other realms judge for sentence.
Of course during transport, the prisoner has a random chance of escaping.

Netherworld may catch a prisoner that is wanted by Spearhold, or Gotland catches a certain prisoner that is wanted by Nothoi  :P

Exploits? : A prisoner captured by a realm who hasn't yet issued a ban can be transfered to a realm already with a ban in place, allowing immediate execution.

As I said, just a random thought. I haven't thought about it a great deal. the idea might get thrown out instantly for various reasons, which is fair enough.

This is something that has been considered, and there are significant concerns with it—more or less what you mentioned, that someone banned from one realm in an alliance bloc would be effectively prevented from interacting with any realm in the bloc if they didn't want to risk execution.

If it were to be implemented, it would include a rather large chance of the prisoner escaping en route.

I guess that if someone was caught in a specific realm, they were probably up to no good anyway. Therefore that realm would likely want to ban them as a deterent rather than risk transfering to another and chancing an escape.

The other side of the coin is that prisoners could be used as gifts or bargaining chips for political reasons between realms. Whether its worth the effort to implement the feature on that basis though is probably questionable.

While it would be neat, I think this is one of those features that is far too much trouble for its worth, in comparison to other features.

There are probably more important issues to deal with, understood  ;)

Great negative effect for infiltrators as well, since they're the once mostly avoiding realms they're banned in.. If they're not good enough of course.

I agree that it would be a nice feature, but would have to be limited so much.
