Does anyone even use this feature?

Wimpie

Currently it's just for people with too much gold, I guess, for RP purposes.

I don't think it has any other use for the moment.

That is sad... Shouldn't this be more encouraged and not be a feature for rich players only?

Antonine

I know one is going to be built in D'Hara soon - to commemorate a fallen Champion Ranger.

But this is all strictly for fluff purposes, that's kinda the point. It's an extravagant use of gold so it's only worth doing if you've really got something worth remembering.

Exactly. I'm also not sure what other purposes Vita has for it (he's the one who built it).

All that gold! Should see Astrum. One guy apparently built a bunch.

I think it would be neat addition for monuments to provide some sort of morale, loyalty or control boost in the regions they're erected.

On that note, more infrastructure for regions in general could be fun!

No, it was decided when the feature request was created in 2012 to keep them simple.

This is already an approved TODO, in terms of estate holders (knights) being able to build local buildings. For probably as long or longer than 2012. Alas, limited volunteer developers means no one has worked on it. It is a larger undertaking.

No. Once it's up, its up.

It would be nice, though if everytime a monument was destroyed that an IG note would be created like "The ruins of the  <Insert Ruin Name> monument" And that's it, no description, just the name of what once was. A perm note in the region description where statues and monuments are mentioned.

As the game ages, i think it would be cool to see these ruins cropping up, adding character to places.
