Is it me, or did advy's become a lot more difficult to play lately? Ever since the changes that implemented the new hunting options came out, I've found that I get defeated a lot more often, even on low-risk hunts when before I could blitz through group after group on highest risk and never encounter a problem. If there is an explanation someplace, I'd love to be directed towards it please.

I don't believe I changed the probabilities any, just the text.

What are other people's recent experiences?

The same. I got the feeling as if I lose more often.

But the feeling I'm getting much more - I don't get anymore swordfighting for hunting monsters/undead. :(

It is my experience that the more rogues there are in the region, the more trouble you will have.
This does not include "units" of rogues that are in the region, just those that have not formed units that are discovered by investigating.

When you investigate the region and find that it is overrun by rogues (monsters or undead) there is much more likelyhood of being wounded or killed, even on lower risk hunts.

With the increase of rogues in general, there is more likelyhood of finding regions overrun with them.
Even investigating a region causes much more fatigue when the region is overrun with rogues.
A region that has few rogues in it will usually cause only 2-3 hours of fatigue while an overrun region may cause 10 or more fatigue to investigate.

My rule of thumb:
The more rogues there are in the region, the lower risk I use for hunting.

There have been no changes to hunting difficulty, to my awareness.

Not directly, but the increased spawning rate of rogues has increased the danger to advies.
More rogues in a region means more danger.

While that is true, spawn rates on BT and DWI have been lower the last month (maybe two) than they have been for a good long time before.

I gave up hunting monsters and undead at all because it became too dangerous and I was spending most of my time healing up from being beaten to a pulp.

So now I collect rare items and make myself useful getting new scrolls or repairing stuff that needs fixing.

Yeah, Heavily Armed bands of Militant Undead and the like seem to frequently be the first group encountered. I have up on hinting groups beyond the first and just choose to start a new hunt.
Life is a dance, it is only fitting that death sing the tune.

Zakky

I actually noticed monsters and undead spawn rate drop as well. Starting to see regions that are out of things to hunt :o

Meh, I keep baiting the RNG. Killed Alpha like a day ago, maybe two.
