I think this is bug, not feature? Should I only put in bugtracker?

Make own messages read status

Summary:
Own messages like scout reports show as new messages so must read them, also front page has yellow new messages border

Details:
As above. When making scout report, mark as "read"

Benefits:
Less confusion if new message is real

Ugh I hate that the scout reports I shared show up as new messages! Great idea.

I know this has been fixed for certain other messages (like supporting TO messages don't go to your own character anymore).

But this was fixed just by excluding your own character in the recipient list.

It's probably not that difficult to do this for this specific message as well.

Anyone has a list of messages where this annoying?

1) Hunt report expire for advies
2) Prisoner released/escaped - I don't know why this should concern everyone in the realm
3) Duchy report - should only be limited to dukes (at the moment it is for everyone in the duchy)
4) Region Control Activity - Knights should be removed. Should only concern the lord
5) New workshop - should only be restricted to the lord of the region (or at most duke and lord)
6) Scout reports shared - Can the game report this like once every 3 hours or something? At the moment it just sends out a report every time someone shares it. Also it does it for every single individual report. Instead maybe the game can collect a list of them and send out a report where it displays all the scout reports shared in an array?

First time I hear someone complain about people scouting. Collecting them and sending it out every 3 hours must be going against what every marshal/general wants nowadays, no?

I think I gave you a wrong idea. I meant the part where the game sends you messages. Reports themselves will still be available. Just that the part where you get the notification on someone sharing reports get reported later.

So just to make it clear what exactly you mean:
1) Wimpie scouts a region
2) Wimpie hits the button 'share scout report with army'
3) Zakky wants - at this time - that there is no message to the army about it
4) Scout report will be available in the Scribes page
5) Later - at a defined x hours - all the reports will be reported as 'These were shared in the last X Hours' to the army

If that is the case, as I initially understood, still find it terrible idea. So marshals would need to click scribe page and hit refresh to know if someone scouted? Not a great idea.
Also the amount of effort to code this outweighs the actual use for this.

I already know this because I just shared it.

I do want to see a report when others have shared a scout report as soon as they share them.

Rather, send the message to me that the scout report was shared, but mark it as read for myself, so that I do not have it show up as a new message.

Hmmm. Maybe just having an option to disabling the new message notification for 'someone shared X region's scout report' might be better? While you still get the message just not message(7) when you log back in to check?

I agree with the quote of PolarRaven and the summary of OYK.

Other ideas can be talked about, but I don't think Vita approve this thread because of Zakky's suggestion.
