Go to Profile and click on the "<<" to bring the profile menu to float Left you will see a red line on top of the Profile Info.

Its this Span who should not be rendered if the logged user is not admin

Yes, that is a common bug with SMF forums. They use that span to insert the data if you log in as admin, so its always there to give the DOM modification a hook. Changing it would involve either a module, or modifying the SMF code.
