Ha, sounds awesome.
As interesting as that'd be, I'm still really hoping for an active or recently active duke for the role.. or..you know.. one that's still alive enough to angst about it.

..of course, I am in the Colonies. Damian wasn't kin to the Lich King, perhaps?

I've played in Assassins and Giblot extensively, and spent some time about Alowca/Alebad, Lukon, and OT.
Each nation is.. or in the case of the religious states, was.. remarkable. Alowca/Alebad had remarkable defensive military focus, and political atmosphere. Lukon has the whole rampant barbarian thing, and from what I saw in my short time with them this wildness and focus on strength extends into their politics. OT is.. well, it's OT. You love them, or you love to hate them. Always a catalyzing force. The Guild goes through tons of fluctuations- honestly, it's the one place in all the servers where you'll reliably find yourself in a position of power without any real effort. The Guild is remarkable in being a meritocracy, while still having strict control from the Tyrant (though that has seemed to lax over time). Giblot.. well, as I just mentioned in another thread, she's the font of idealism and freedoms.

Never did spent much time with Oritilon or Minas Thalion, so you all'll have to toss out the impressions there.

Nevertheless, is it any wonder I love the Colonies most?

Colonies / Re: Giblot: Dead or Alive?

Giblot did come out of her fugue state to kick some ass, back at the time of the formation of and early days of the Liberty Party/taking of OTC. Then our best (and most active) players started losing access to the game, and a domino effect took it down.
It's a shame, Giblot is actually a remarkable nation. While not as colorful from a modern view-point as the other nations of the Colonies, Giblot has held to idealisms and freedoms that are unusual in the modern day, much less in Battlemaster context. It's certainly something that could only have come about in freedom of the Colonies.

And Giblot has had its share fair of remarkable players, and involved RPs.

And now they've got the extra joy of the challenge of coming out of a low point?

So, this says to me..
It's time to bring Giblot back to glory.

Probably easier to run it with a non-Advy, yeah.

..so, it's too late to ask you to lick the next noble you see?

Other than that awesome skeleton-spawning spazzed out failure on taking OT city back when (with the 'Assassins Colony' implosive massacre), I haven't seen anything really assist the unique culture of the Colonies for a fair while. And the Lich King has had plenty of time to prepare since his last excursion..
So yeah, definitely up for having him wake up from his nap.

As far as the Lenden Stones, they were the very first thing I really focused on when I started playing years back. They've always been a bit special to me; So, so long as whatever is attributed to them is added in well, I'll be pleased with their improved integration into the game. Of course, I also did some extensive RPing of there being Rhinos out at the Stones.. A tribute of some sort to that would be lovely <3

Thanks to both of you for helping out :)

Bedwyr's justifications and rp-context seem as a good a basis as any; And who are we to start nitpicking at Battlemaster chronological consistencies? Heck, Dwilight aside, it's not like anyone even knows what season it is most of the time.

Finnius L'Myrn got shipped off to the Assassins in Colonies; If you're up to writing up a missive to the ruler insisting the guild live up to its name and kill off Finnius (with a suitable bounty being placed at the same time ;) ) I'd be grateful for the effort :) Else, I'll just have to make assumptions on the insanity you spoke of..

Now, how many times did he dress up as a chicken and attack people with wooden spoons?

Have a character in the Colonies with the background of having been banished to the Colonies by an Atamaran duke who discovered the character having an affair with the duke's wife. The character's family had just enough influence to keep the character from being immediately executed, especially in return for keeping the matter from becoming public, but that won't save him in the Colonies..

Being that dukes are always player-based, I can't just make up a name for this;
So, anyone up for being to blame for bounties being put on the toon for his adultering ways?

Of course, this'd leave you with plenty of your own RP material should you wish to touch upon it :)
