Title: Special Force
Post by: NireusD.Natalle on December 14, 2012, 02:44:58 AM
I'm noble in beluaterra and my realm seem have low level of RCs... My realm only have one MI and several inf and arc.. Is there any condition to get better RCs or maybe special force center..?

Nope. You just need a lot of gold and luck. If you are lucky enough, you will get a good center but if you are unlucky, you won't get anything for months.

When you build a new RC, the type and quality is random. There is no way to improve or modify an existing RC. It is what it is. If you don't like it, you tear it down and build another one.

The lord can choose to specifically build an infantry, archery, or cavalry center, but there is a chance that it will fail, and you end up with a (literally) useless center.

The only way to get an MI or SF center is by building a random center, and getting lucky.

So you mean normal Rcs haa.. I have build this type before and get MI and low stat of cavalry.. So should I build RCs every week to get good rcs even production below 80%.?

Production lvl of the region has no bearing on the quality or type of RC produced.

Production has nothing to do with stats. If your region can support RCs, then do it.

Also, cities, strongholds, and townslands get better RCs than rural regions.

I wouldn't call that good stats (for SF) :)

There's a difference between "good" and "holy !@#$!" Somewhere around ~70 stats is pretty good. If you start getting higher, the price skyrockets, and the training rate drops. You only get one or two a day. Takes forever to get a decent unit of them. So even though the 99/99/99 SF pakcs a hell of a punch, almost no one can afford them, or has a chance to recruit them. And then you have the expense and time for repairs...

Not godly, but I consider them good.

Not everyone has the luxury of playing in Barony of Makar.

.... rural regions not really a good place for SF... they simply don't recruit that many each day..

cities are best as the RC lvl limit is higher..

Since the population rebalance, there are a couple rural regions with more population than some small cities.

More like: range 5 90 100/90 special forces, often called canons by others.

If you're talking about the one based on fundamentals we've been talking about for a few months, it still hasn't been applied (or if it has, no one has noticed and you never told anyone).

Dwilight had some population rebalance some while back. BT too I think...

We've done a couple of them, yes. But there's another, very important one to come, which bases much more on fundamentals and formulae rather than just adjusting things up or down by a %.

Montijo max pop (EC): 21'900
Ozrat max pop (FEI): 7'900

I don't know which revisions we're at, but Tom is right: there are a couple rural regions with more population than some small cities.

is rc lvl pop based or location based though?

Don't know what revision they're at, but on BT:

Heen City:  9600 max
Eykfar:  23800 max

Definately some population disparity between some rurals and cities. :P

I don't know which is the size of those regions, but I think it wouldn't be so weird a whole region had higher population than a city. I mean, a well-sized rural region should hold many villages and small towns which, in sum, could reach a higher population than a single city.

Though the amplitude of the disparity is surprising, Heen is a pretty small city over a very small territory, whereas Eykfar is a much larger region.

That's still a pretty big difference, though.

Location based

thus.... whilst one would think higher pop gives more recruit per day (if not... why does city having lower pop than rural matter?)... you would still want a bigger rc for more reserves, etc... no?

To be clear: For a given size of RC, it will gain more recruits/day at higher population.

The maximum size of RC is limited by region type.
