It was not long after Taas had set the portal stones in a ring that Taas became the lunchmeat of the five undead Taas had been hunting.

Those five undead, filled with Taas in their belly, now felt an attraction towards the incessant buzzing column of light that repelled most beasts. Investigating in the manner that the living dead with an unbearable attraction towards an object do, they wandered straight into the lightbeam. Soon, the light began pulsating with various colours, blue, purple, green, orange, brown.

When the first undead exited the lightbeam, it bore blue skin, and stood twice as tall as when it entered, likely twice as strong. Likewise, the second bore purple, the third green, the fourth orange, and the fifth brown. Each as tall and strong as the first. Behind each giant undead being followed numerous normal-sized undead bearing the same coloured skin as the leader they followed. It was if each coloured group of undead were a tribe unto themselves. Commanding their undead, the giant undead leaders undertook journeys, with missionary zeal, towards the neighbouring regions of Zdenka to raise up yet more undead for their tribes.

There was a portal opening and the adventurer ripped to shreds. Some Nothoi fended off the first wave but overwhelmes in the second. Not sure where the other colours went.

Feature Requests / Under Debate: Adventurer alerts for special people

Summary: install in game alerts for adventurers in the presence of special people (wizards, sages)

Details: if you enter a region, be told immediately if there is a special person present. Similarly if you start the turn with one in your region (whether they just moved there or not). Essentially if you could see them by going to the Quest page, you should be alerted.


Benefits: Wizards and sages play a huge part in the adventurer day to day. If you travel a lot, you can miss out on finding them (unless you visit the Quest page every region).  The turn highlights where they are, or have been recently; this alert is purely to stop you having to resort to the Quest page every time, to see if one is present.

Possible Downsides or Exploits: this is purely informational, and nothing you couldn't find out by visiting the quest page, but it's frustrating to miss them if you aren't paying close attention(and you shouldn't have to). I doubt anyone would mind being told there are these people present.

Xaligus is just a bit wierd. Are you really expecting that many Caligan refugees to come over to the NX immediately after being wiped out by them?

I have a fun feeling there'll end up being southern Xavax and northern Xavax, the difference being those who have deemed to have "sold out" to the south or were prepared to redact Selenia in exchange for Fontan. I don't doubt these two nations will have a vast difference in culture and may not get along as well as might be thought.

The word "traitor" is being flung around a lot in Sirion.

What about Xerachim/Xerachar for ruler names?

So if you happened across an item with +19 prestige, you could convince a sage to increase it four times before needing to earn more exp? And what sort of things earn you exp? Can only nobles increase it? Adventurers? Does it accrue over time regardless? What about prestige rust- will an item wear away back to nothing as it lies on the ground (presumably losing its special skill bonuses when it drops below +6 prestige?)

I guess from experience each upgrade is a random percentage to a given skill (decided on the first attempt) and gives about 7-9% increase at most but usually less. I've upgraded three items in the last week which was a good run. Most expensive was 100 gold, cheapest about 13.

Funny,my advy is looking to divest a +15% swordfightinf helm to the right bidder..it's no use to her! Plenty of prestige too. It wasn't expensive to upgrade, for a change.

Hah, I'd always played Ramon as a playboy, fathering many many illegitimate children. His portal mandate almost insisted on it! He only had the one legitimate noble born child between he and Teniel while she were Queen and he Duke. But she is gone and he is dead!

Summary:at the moment I do not believe rumours are saved or stored as a message. If you do not save or remember them those details are lost. We need a mechanism to be able to review or share these rumours. It may extend to other information gathered by adventurers.

Details: either save rumours as a message that can be recalled or saved, or push them into a scribe note that can be reviewed or shared among nearby adventurers.

Benefits: share notes between adventurers, have a way to recall exactly where that sage was seen, etc.

I'm pretty sure that Selenia returning would be a fast plummet into destruction for whichever realm hosted her. Lesser beings are afeared of her profane magics and skill at arms.

As fun as it would be to see her carve through her opponents in a fortnight long set of duels..(can we make that happen?)

I've often considered retiring an adventurer by requesting they be made into a wandering sage or wizard. But I never had the stones (or a character I wanted to discard in that way). It would be as simple as replacing an existing unique person with your own name and attribute.

Here is what the sage can repair, and what common items he will need for that:

repair the Ring of Good and Evil (needs Beastman Blood)

can not repair the Beasthide Suit of Good (would need Golden Idol)
