I think you can truly feel the current state of the game from the current war. There is a big shortage of people to fill the regions. So many regions are left unattended.

I'd actually extend it to 3 months instead of just one.
One month isn't that long in BM and new players might not even see any significant battle during that time.

I actually agree. New players shouldn't even be wounded for the first 3 months at least. If you are in a peaceful realm, you won't even see a battle for the first month. Good that there are plenty to fight these days.
