I intend to have an updated Colonies history video in not-too-long. And other islands too, of course.

Two cheers for awesomeness!

That was awesome!  Thanks for sharing that, Tom.  Brought a smile to my face to see so many years invested relived with some flags on a map.  2010 and 7 regions for the Assassins... the golden age.

You had three weeks!

And I have a guy that was wounded the entire last week and now he's stuck.  So, just saying that we had three weeks doesn't cover every consideration.

I'm not a man who knows how to code/program, but honestly, how hard can it be to update the map with several extra names?

FWIW, I've been playing on the Colonies for years now and while it is true that the activity level ebs and flows as time goes by it has been my favorite island to play on.  The extra time in between turns gives you lots of ways to plot mischief and mayhem.  You just have to be patient with it.  And, if you're in a realm that's dead quiet for some reason just start stirring the pot...   ;D

Remorse is a bit slow to reply sometimes, but we tend to agree (as I am the duke of Reeds xD)

Sadly, yeah, I'm a little slow sometimes but I can at least blame it on Remorse being really really old!   ;)

There were some hits on ML, but it was painfully slow to do because of having to travel around Rieleston... which makes it look like no war exists. Now we've got Escent to thank for getting something rolling, but it needs to play out yet.

Well, I did as much as I could to stir the pot with Escent and get the wheels turning again.  Sadly, it turns out that it's all for naught and I'll be honest, I'm pretty well ticked off that Atamara is getting destroyed.  The last time I was this annoyed was when infiltrators started showing up in regions without needing a scout report.Oh well.  I've been playing almost every day for 10 years so I suppose I'll let it go eventually.

I currently have two active characters, Vladamire (my very first character in BM) in his home realm of Outer Tilog, and Aramon, lately of Lukon. Aramon I had created to try out the War Islands, on what happened to be their last hurrah  in that format, and moved him to the Colonies afterward (where is misadventures saw him kill the judge of Alebad in a duel during that realms dying days, become Shadow Tyrant of the Assassins, court another noble, die/reappear in Lukon, and eventually become General of Lukon). I've tried the various islands with various characters over my time in BM back in 07, but it always comes back to these two: 1)Because I don't have the time anymore to handle two turns a day, and 2)Because the history of the characters, 8 years or so RT leads to a lot of character building. That doesn't mean I'll never play Mastraacht over in Fissoa again, or my advy in Arcaea, but if I'm forced to pick one of my characters on the Colonies to move or become inactive or something happens to make the years worth of character building I've been trying to do with them vanish, well, I might just stop playing all together. Which would be a shame, because I'd miss playing with the guys over in the Colonies (even Jeremy Stephens, whose character Innocent Noble has been a thorn in my characters sides for years *shakes fist!*)

Well, I'm sad to announce that Innocent finally met his maker in a Tilog dungeon.  Just wait to see how much mischief I can create with Innocent's niece that has a bad case of vengeance on her mind!   ;)

Again, because there's been no significant scroll casting to trigger any significant spawnings. I don't think there's been more than around 5 scrolls launched at any one time anywhere and that won't do anything more than cause one day of slightly increased effects. Please, someone launch 30 scrolls within a day and let's see what happens. I know that entire realms have more than that. With the average scroll per noble rate what it is, it should only take around 5-10 folks launching all their scrolls.

I did collect 11 scrolls with Remorse and did a nice run behind enemy lines and used 3 or 4 scrolls in a several different regions.  And, I'm happy to report that the mayham it caused was quite fun.  The realm even looked at combining scrolls into one mass for one character to use but I don't think we had any where near 30 of them combined.

Ivore on Atamara. Still consider him one of the best infiltrator assassins the game has ever been terrorized by.

And I'd like to add Innocent on the colonies.  Mostly because he was just recently killed in an Tilog dungeon after 100+ years of causing more mischief then a priest should have been able to do.  Oh, and I love this quote:

Roleplay from Lullaby Blakeshadow: "I am serious, even without the ability to look at a memo, Your surprised someone had a bounty on Innocent's head? He has had numbers of people trying to kill him for quite some time. Realms have spoken war over him, as if he were a subject. I've seen war made at realms for housing him. It is not something easily missed, even with your eyes closed. Forgive me if I sound rude, or blunt, I am just telling a simple truth. But now I express it to you and I pray it sheads light to other things."

It also made him get two positions on the continent simultaneously, I believe. Or was that something later?

I don't recall infils being eligible for government positions, at least in the days.

Omg I miss the days when infiltrators were invisible.  I've always disagreed with the logic that was used to justify that change.

In the defense of Escent... He had made the acquaintance of a very friendly tavern wench earlier that night so it wasn't entirely his lack of judgement.   :)

Well, Escent did his best to try and save the realm.  But too little too late.  I think the realm was doomed by the changes to the food/gold balance portion of the game.

As a side note... The best part of the rebellion was that an infiltrator got to become a King of a realm!  And, thanks to lady Sarwell helped Escent to become the first infiltrator king to carry out an assassination.

Oh, and yeah, phantaria is one for the history books.

One of the things that I enjoy most about the colonies is that there are a few realms that are very actively looking to bring everyone into the fun and 'important' positions which constantly changes the alliances and leads to a lot of change over in the scheming that goes on.  Quite fun to be sure.
