Title: How to upload a picture on Wiki
Post by: Zakilevo on March 03, 2012, 03:36:56 AM
I am trying to upload a picture on Wiki but it won't upload.

I get this error.

File extension does not match MIME type.

I even changed the picture to .png and .jpg but it just won't upload.

How, exactly, did you change the picture to .png and .jpg?

Are you on Mac or Windows (or, I suppose, Linux)?

uh just used paint. 'Save As'. Maybe I should use an image converter?

Probably a good idea, since just "save as" and naming it Image.png doesn't stop it from being a .bmp

using save as and using the dropdown box to set the type to PNG should work.

It's been ages since I've used just the standard Paint program.  Does it offer many modern choices for saving?

Depends on your version of windows. My windows 7 has bmp, gif, tiff, jpg, and png.
