On the purchase orders there is an expiry date. When the orders expire, the money would be returned in bonds? And if one had changed lordships, realms or become rogue, would the bonds still return to the noble who placed the purchase order?
Nope. Before I became the Prime Minister of Sirion, I posted 4 buy orders but after 3 weeks, I still haven't received my 40 bonds back.
it should return to the person who placed it, in bonds, i would think, given all the offers mention a name, rather than a position
---
no idea about realm switching /rogue bit though... you could imagine an exploit where someone getting banned stump up ridiculous offers to "hide" all their bonds...

It wouldn't help--they can't use the bank.

Perhaps they were filled?

they don't need the bank. they flip realm and get to keep the bonds essentially... <- won't help the going rogue bit.. if they get the bonds back after going rogue.
If that is the case, maybe have it give gold to rogues, or allow those bonds to be cashed in the realm the offer was created in?
If the noble who posted the bonds is no longer part of the same realm, the realm should confiscate the bonds. That way the trade system can't be used as some form of risk free money transfer system. It also makes things consistent with the way bonds already work.

I posted 3 x 1000 bushels sell offer. None of them were sold, and only 1000 came back to me...

And the other two are no longer shown when you look at your Marketplace?

Market report shows 3 offers that have 1 day remaining. I'll tell you in...20-30 minutes if they expire or not.
UPDATE: the food offers have expired and returned to the granaries.
Yay. :)

Indeed, Though it took them like 28 days.
Any idea why this would happen?
Also, is there a means to cancel offers? Neither me (who isn't in Paisly) nor my steward (who is in Paisly) found one.
Thank god for the timing, though, my granaries were running out.
I can cancel my own offers. Maybe it's because I'm both lord and trader?
As Lord, I can cancel as well. It's at the market where you can trade (Not the report), given you're in range of your own offer.

Where and how?
Is it possible that only a lord can cancel (not the steward), and that he must be in his city to do so?
You need to be in a region/city with a Marketplace. You can also do so in your own region even if you don't have a Marketplace there.
Only the character who put up the offer can cancel it. So talk to your Steward if that's the case.
um.. you might need to be within range of the deal to cancel it? i need to double check that... (certainly, you can do it when in your own region)
because you don't see your own deals unless your region is within your range.. so if you don't see it, you can't cancel it.

I put the deals. I am in a region with a marketplace, but beyond my range.

I could cancel offers when beyond my range, I'm pretty sure. But Cheniers offers were in a weird state.
i should be able to check when my trader/steward gets to around giask.. which should be far enough not to see my own offers.

Correct. You also need to be within range.
I cant see my own offers as a Steward/Trader either, you do need to be in range for them.
